Mina West weaves her career adventures as a wildlife biologist with her love for fantasy, and has been doing so for nearly two decades. She hopes to reconnect her readers to the natural world through the written word, and thrives in the space where science meets art.

A culmination of personal and professional experiences, her debut novel, Heartfire, ultimately explores the transformation of humans versus nature into understanding human nature. ​

When she's not writing, you can find Mina with one foot on the trail, two arms full of children, and her nose in a book. She is never without her canine companion, Ghost.
